Paul seeks to motivate the Corinthian church to give. He starts out in chapter 8 verses 1-6 with the example of the Macedonian church and how they gave. These would be churches like Philippi and Thessalonica. It is very appropriate for us to also learn and be motivated by the example of the Macedonian churches outlined in this passage. We can learn from the history of how other churches have given. Here are six points that I have gleaned from it.
